I know "thank you" will never be enough - but it's a place to begin...

Thank you for thinking through every possible scenario. For packing, overpacking and bringing all the ‘just-in-case’ items.

Thank you for holding it all together, even when it feels like you are coming undone.

For crying quietly in the shower so no one would hear. For eating cold leftovers with one hand whilst multitasking with the other.

Thank you for answering every “who”, “what”, “when”, “how” and “why” – over and over again.

Thank you for being patient– and for losing your patience.

For laughing when it would’ve been easier to cry.

And for crying when that was the most honest thing you could do.

Thank you for the interrupted sleep and for the exhaustion that settles deep in your soul.

Thank you for reshaping your body– for bending, hunching, twisting, contorting and carrying not just the physical load but the weight of everyone else’s needs too.

Thank you for trying to parent in a new way – more intentionally – even when it meant facing things you never got growing up.

Thank you for the moments you broke down, but didn’t walk away. For showing up again and again even when your tank was empty.

Thank you for your quiet wisdom.

For your grit.

For your full heart.

For every single thing you do– the seen, the unseen, and the things you think no one notices.

I see you and I am grateful for you.

All my love,
A fellow mama xx (4560)
